Frequently Asked Questions

Where is Level Lemonade made?

Level Lemonade is proudly Australian made and owned.

Who would benefit from drinking Level Lemonade?

We think the ‘healthful carbonated’ drinks on the market today are simply not as appealing in taste as regular carbonated drinks. Level Lemonade has been carefully engineered for consumers after a ‘cravable’ lemonade that is actually good for you!

Our drink provides half of the Recommended Dietary Intake (RDI) of magnesium* a total of 160mg of magnesium in one bottle. This is important because about half of all Australians don't get enough magnesium in their diet. If you find you are tired throughout the day, or anxious, have sore muscles, suffer from mental fog or maybe headaches and migraines the daily dose of Level Lemonade may help as these are all signs of having an inadequate amount of magnesium.

Our lemonade also provides the full RDI of vitamin c. More than 25% of Australian females and males are deficient in Vitamin C***. Stop and think, are you not feeling 100%? Are you stressed? Do you regularly exercise and need help recovering? Are you prone to injury? All of these symptoms are signs of low Vitamin C levels and if your answer is yes to any of these questions, then Level Lemonade can give you the daily boost you need.

How many servings can you have per day?

Level Lemonade is a Formulated Supplementary Sports Food supplying half of the RDI of magnesium and Vitamin C, and should be consumed once daily and not in conjunction with other magnesium and Vitamin C supplements.

This beverage is not a sole source of nutrition and should be consumed in conjunction with a nutritious diet and an appropriate physical training or exercise program. Not suitable for children under 15 years of age or pregnant women: should only be used under medical or dietetic supervision. Not recommended for people with sensitivity to magnesium or while fasting.

How should you drink Level Lemonade?

Our drink should be served chilled. It should be consumed daily to supplement a nutritious diet and an appropriate physical training or exercise program.

What are the key benefits of drinking one bottle of Level Lemonade?

  • 160 mg of magnesium
  • 40 mg of vitamin c
  • 97.5% sugar-free
  • Only 30 calories per bottle
  • Above all, a great refreshing taste

What is the full ingredients list?

Carbonated Water (Water, Carbon Dioxide), Lemon Juice From Concentrate (5%), Fructose, Magnesium (sourced from natural Magnesium Sulphate), Food Acids (330, 331), Natural Flavour, Vitamin C, Thickener (Acacia Gum) Sweetners (955, 950), Natural Colour (161b).

Can you overdose on magnesium?

A magnesium overdose is called hyper-magnesia. Hyper-magnesia can occur from taking too much magnesium supplement, however this is extremely rare because the kidneys work to get rid of excess magnesium.**

Doses less than 410 mg of magnesium are considered safe for most adults.

** Level Lemonade contains 160 mg.

Can you overdose on Vitamin C?

Side effects from consuming too much Vitamin C are extremely rare and unlikely to cause harm because the body cannot store the vitamin.***

Vitamin C amounts less than 2000 are considered safe.

*** Level Lemonade contains 40mg of Vitamin C.

Why low sugar and not sugar free?

We believe the no sugar variants available today have an inferior taste to regular carbonated drinks. With 75% less sugar than regular carbonated drinks, Level Lemonade is designed for consumers after a ‘cravable’ lemonade that is actually good for you – so they can have the best of both world’s!

Our lemonade contains artificial sweeteners 955 and 950.

Is Level Lemonade vegan friendly?

Level Lemonade is vegan, as well as gluten and lactose free.

Can Magnesium have a laxative effect?

High dosage magnesium may have a laxative effect with certain people.

However, the content of magnesium in a single bottle of LeVeL lemonade is about one fourth of the considered maximum amount allowed in the formulated supplement sports food regulation.

Daily consumption is recommended not to exceed 1 bottle a day.

Some people may be sensitive to magnesium.

It is also not recommended to have a magnesium supplement in addition to a bottle of LeVeL lemonade.

The laxative effect of magnesium appears to come through two different mechanisms:

Muscle Relaxation: Magnesium relaxes the muscles in the intestines, which can help to establish a smoother flow as the stool passes through the bowels.

Stool Softener: Magnesium draws water into the intestines, working as an osmotic laxative. This increase in water stimulates bowel motility. It also softens and increases the size of the stool, triggering a bowel movement and helping to make stools easier to pass.
