Magnesium... can help regulate muscle contractions

The proteins in your muscles have binding sights which magnesium and calcium bind to. When calcium binds to such a protein, for example myosin, it changes in shape resulting in a contraction.

Magnesium acts here as calcium's competitor reducing the rate at which calcium binds to the sites to prevent too much contraction - which may lead to spasms and cramps.

So, if you want a relaxed and chilled weekend, cramp-free, grab a Level Lemonade!
